With everyone talking about SPF 30, 40, 50, and even 100+, it’s easy to get confused about which one to use. There was an interesting study from Korea. People were asked to apply sunscreen with SPF 100+ to one side of their face and SPF 50+ to the other side for five days. What they found is that the side with 100+ SPF had significantly less sunburn. When you are applying sunscreen, you have to apply enough from the face to the neck. This means that in a real-world setting, when the coverage and technique used to apply sunscreen might not be perfect, 100+ SPF offers more protection. Now, you know. Go higher, stay safer.
