Dr. Bikash Bhattarai is a visionary leader in pulmonary and critical care medicine and the Founder and CEO of Illinois Lung and Interventional Pulmonary Associates (ILIP). With over 15 years of clinical and academic excellence, he has built a reputation for combining cutting-edge interventional pulmonology techniques with deeply compassionate, patient-centered care. Before founding ILIP in 2024, Dr. Bhattarai served as an Interventional Pulmonologist and Critical Care Specialist at Suburban Lung Associates and as a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he mentored the next generation of pulmonary physicians. He completed his fellowships in Interventional Pulmonology at Chicago Chest Center and in Critical Care at Montefiore Health System. Beyond the hospital walls, he champions global health as Co-Secretary and Board Member of the America Nepal Medical Foundation (ANMF). Known for his calm demeanor and clarity in communication, Dr. Bhattarai has an exceptional ability to help patients understand complex diagnoses with confidence and comfort.
