Deepak Joshi, MD
Dr. Deepak Joshi is a board-certified cardiologist and an expert in advanced cardiac imaging, currently serving at MUSC Health, Lancaster. With a deep personal connection to heart health, inspired by his family’s history of cardiac illness, Dr. Joshi approaches cardiology with both passion and compassion. He is highly trained in Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE), 3D Echocardiography, and Cardiac CT, and holds Level 2 expertise in comprehensive echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac catheterization, and cardiac CT.
Before joining MUSC Health, he practiced at the Statesville Cardiovascular Clinic in North Carolina and previously at the Medical Group of Carolinas in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Dr. Joshi completed his Cardiology Fellowship at East Carolina University and an Echocardiography Fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he also served as an instructor. His medical journey began at Patan Hospital in Nepal, where he completed his internship after earning his M.B.B.S. from Kathmandu University. Known for his patient-centered approach, Dr. Joshi tailors each consultation to individual needs, combining advanced diagnostic skills with genuine empathy to improve cardiovascular health and quality of life.
