Should Kids Use Sunscreen?

Can Babies Use Sunscreen?

Absolutely—yes. But there’s something important you need to know first. Sunscreen is not recommended for babies under 6 months. Their skin is super sensitive. Instead, keep them in the shade, wear a wide-brimmed hat, and dress them in light, protective clothing. Now, once your child turns 6 months old, sunscreen becomes a must. Go for a mineral sunscreen with zinc oxide or Titanium Ioxide—these are gentle, less likely to irritate, and great for sensitive little faces. Just like adults, apply it 15 minutes before heading out, and remember to reapply every 2 hours—especially after swimming or sweating. So start early and make sun protection a daily habit.
