The Capstone Project is the culmination of your AJPHI Editorial Fellowship. It is your opportunity to demonstrate everything you have learned and to contribute a real, published article to the patients who need it.

Choose a health, medical, or health insurance topic with a clear patient question. Must be approved by your Section Editor. |

Manuscript Format |
7-section AJPHI structure. 800–1,200 words. Flesch-Kincaid score 6.0–8.0. |

PEMAT Self-Score |
You must score your own article using PEMAT-P and include results in your submission. |
|
AI Disclosure |
If you used any AI tool at any stage, disclose it and describe how in your submission notes. |
|
Mock Peer Review |
Participate as both author AND reviewer. Review one cohort peer’s manuscript. |
|
Revision Response Letter |
After peer review, submit a point-by-point response letter addressing every reviewer comment. |
|
Final Submission |
Submit via official AJPHI portal for editorial consideration and potential publication. |
